Final Fantasy Reviews
These are my reviews and personal opinions for the Final Fantasy games that I've played. Some of these reviews may not be entirely accurate and are based soley on my memory of the game.
Final Fantasy 1(NES)

The storyline and graphics for Final Fantasy 1 certainly weren't the most impressive compared to the other Final Fantasy games. However by today's standards it was still a rather enjoyable game and is deffiniatly a classic. I enjoyed it but would only recommend it to truely hardcore RPG fans.

The GBA version of Final Fantasy 1 was a major improvement over the original and a much more enjoyable gaming experience. I suggest getting Final Fantasy 1 & 2: Dawn of Souls for Gameboy Advanced.

Final Fantasy 2 introduces one of my favourite battle systems out of all the Final Fantasy games(Yet at the same time one of the least-challenging ones.). It's a more freeform battle system that lets you equip different types of weapons to each of your characters and also lets you select which hand to equip the weapon to. If you wanted you could have a character with two shields or two battle-axes. This freeform battle system allowed me to create a very powerful character that was able to hit the max amount of damage twice in a row! I suggest trying the game(Or one of its remakes) out if you're an avid RPG fan.

I enjoyed Final Fantasy 4 but I found the game took a rather odd turn late into it. It was still an excellent RPG with a great storyline and well designed characters. The plot twists in Final Fantasy 4 will keep you guessing throughout the game. I suggest giving this game a try.

Final Fantasy 6(SNES)

Final Fantasy 6 was one of my most favourite Final Fantasy games to date. It had beautiful music, graphics, and storyline. The characters were well designed and had great personalities. I highly suggest playing this game even if you're not a major RPG fan.
Final Fantasy 7(Playstation)

This game is one of the most popular RPG's of all time and rightly so. The storyline and characters were absolutely brilliant. If you love a great storyline and you don't mind blocky graphics then I highly recommend playing this game!

It was no easy task following two great games like Final Fantasy 6 and Final Fantasy 7 but 8 managed to pull it off. FF8 had much better graphics than FF7, stunning CGI cutscenes, and a storyline that was on par with FF7. The storyline was much more romantic than the previous games. My only drawback with this game would have to be the battle system, it is much more fast-paced than previous battle systems and can be rather annoying in some parts. The monsters in this game also can be annoying as the stronger you are the stronger the monsters are. But aside from the minor flaws in the battle system this was still a great game and I highly suggest playing it!
Final Fantasy 9(Playstation)

FF9 was in most aspects a better game than 6, 7, and 8. However it suffered a little more in the storyline department and I felt there were no real memorable characters or villians. The graphics were incredible for a PS1 game and were probably on par with PS2 games. I also enjoyed the gameplay of Final Fantasy 9. This game was an all together excellent close for the PS1 era of Final Fantasy games.

Final Fantasy 10 went downhill from some of the previous Final Fantasy games but it was still an enjoyable game in any case. The game itself seemed to reach out more for a teenage audience. In some places the beautiful orchestra music was replaced by more hardcore music which seemed to kill the "fantasy" feel of the game. The graphics in the game were very beautiful though and made up for the flaws in the game.
