Movie Review
G-Saviour *****
Written by Stephanie Pena-Sy
Directed by Graeme Campbell
Produced by Chris Dobbs
G-Saviour was a low Budget live-action film based on Mobile Suit Gundam. The acting was good but could have been better in some areas. The CGI was above decent for its time. The plot felt a little dry but overall was adequate. If you watch this movie with high expectations because it's part of the Gundam franchise you might be dissapointed, but if you look at it as a seperate entity you might really enjoy it.
In the movie Mark Curran(Played by Brennan Elliott) an ex-CONSENT Pilot gets framed after discovering the truth behind why his underwater research facility was ceized by CONSENT. Mark Curran flees to space with a group of fugitives from the Space Colony Gaia and ends up becoming the pilot of the G-Saviour mobile suit.
There are too few battle scenes but the battle scenes in the movie are rather good. The plot is rather political, so fans of Gundam Wing may really enjoy it.
I suggest watching this movie at least once if you're into mechs/mobile suits. Getting your hands on a DVD of it might be difficult though, I'm lucky enough to have one..
